Noblehill Cafe has been a family run business in Dumfries for almost 70 years. It was started by Aurelio Toni & his wife Alfredina, shortly after the second world war.

In the early days it was a traditional cafe, confectioners & tobacconist & Aurelio even sold his own homemade ice cream. Back in the 60’s & 70’s the café had a pinball machine & Jukebox.

In 1971 their daughter Isola & her husband Romano Miroli introduced Fish & Chips to the cafe & since then the business has never looked back. This started with just a small fryer in the back shop, but as demand grew a new 2 pan frying range was introduced.

For the last 35 years the shop has been run by Rodolfo Miroli, grandson of the original proprietors.

Thanks to the loyal support of our many valued customers the business has continued to grow & in 2013 a new 3 pan frying range was introduced to cope with the increased demand. This was replaced in 2021 with the latest high efficiency Kiremko frying range.

As the takeaway side of the business has continued to grow this has become our main focus & the café side has gradually been phased out. We have now dropped the Café tag from our title as we begin a new & exciting chapter in our newly & spectacularly refurbished takeaway. We are delighted to welcome customers new & old to visit us at Noblehill Fish & Chips takeaway.
